-Plant your feet firmly on the ground
-Bend your knees
-keep your glove on the ground
-Know what to do before the ball is hit to you
-Give your full effort to get to the ball
-Try to field the ball with just a few hops
-get rid of the ball quickly
-plant your feet before throwing
-charge the ball
-stay down
-be ready with your glove out at all times
-Field the ball out in front of you
----POP FIES----
-Drop step then run back
-sprint towards the ball
-don't drift back and then meet the ball
-Get behind the ball and run in
-use the crow hop when needed
-Have your momentum going towards the ball
-catch the ball with two hands
-Squeeze the ball tight when you catch it
-get a good jump on the ball when it is hit

I completely did not BEND MY KNEES for a grounder during a soft ball game in high school and to this day I still have problems with my lower back from the muscles I pulled that day. GOOD ADVICE!
